CHAPTER 2: THE FALL OF THE STEPMOTHER

Victoria desperately tried to save herself.

"Richard, they're lying! They're all lying!"

But nobody believed her anymore.

Richard pulled out his phone.

"Bring me the security footage from the last six months."

Victoria froze.

Her blood ran cold.

She had forgotten about the hidden cameras.

An hour later, the evidence filled the giant television screen.

There she was.

Insulting Emma.

Throwing away her belongings.

Ordering servants to treat the heiress like a maid.

The room watched in horror.

Richard watched in silence.

Which was even worse.

When the footage ended, Victoria fell to her knees.

"Please... I can explain."

"No."

Richard's voice was emotionless.

"You had one job."

Victoria looked up.

"You were supposed to protect her."

Tears streamed down her face.

But Richard felt nothing.

His daughter had cried alone for years.

Now it was Victoria's turn.

That evening, Richard filed for divorce.

He removed Victoria from every company account.

Every property.

Every luxury she had enjoyed.

Security guards escorted her out of the mansion before sunrise.

She left carrying only a single suitcase.

The empire she tried to steal was never hers.

And now she had nothing.
