US House Passes $70B Border Security Funding Bill in Major Win for Trump

The United States House of Representatives has passed a major immigration spending package, securing a monumental legislative victory for President Donald Trump’s hardline border platform.

The House voted 214–212 to approve a bill that allocates nearly $70 billion to federal immigration agencies over the next three years. The legislation has now been forwarded to the White House, where President Trump is expected to sign it into law.

The narrow vote successfully broke a bitter four-month partisan deadlock over the federal immigration budget. Following the collapse of bipartisan negotiations, Republicans utilized the budget reconciliation process to pass the US border security funding bill entirely without Democratic support.
