The husband abandoned his pregnant wife alone in the woods, hoping to get rid of her and keep her money. When night fell, a huge wolf emerged from the depths of the forest, and what happened next was terrifying…

— I beg you, don't leave me here… It hurts… I won't be able to get out alone…

Alina, pregnant and clutching her enormous belly with both hands, struggled to her feet from the wet ground and took a few unsteady steps toward the car. Her face was pale, tears streamed down her cheeks, and her voice trembled so much that her words were barely understandable.

Her husband didn't even look her in the eyes.

— Stop making a scene. It's your own fault. Stay put for a while, calm down, and you'll somehow make it to the road.

— There's a forest here… It's getting dark… Please don't leave…

She reached out to him, but he slammed the car door shut. A second later, the engine roared, mud sprayed from the tires, and the car began to slowly drive away.

Alina ran after him for a few seconds, as far as her strength allowed.

— Come back! Please! For our baby!

But the red lights grew smaller and smaller until they disappeared completely around the bend in the forest road.

She was left alone.

All around them reigned a silence so profound that one could hear the wind rustling through the pine trees. In the distance, a bird cried, and then the terrifying silence returned.

The woman slowly slumped down beside a fallen tree and covered her face with her hands. Finally, she understood the terrible truth.

During the last few months, her husband constantly asked her about the documents, showed interest in her accounts, and convinced her to give him power of attorney and transfer part of the inheritance to a joint account.

After her parents' death, Alina had received a large sum of money and a huge house, and now everything fit together into a terrifying picture.

He hadn't planned to save her.

He had deliberately taken her to that remote place, hoping that no one would ever discover what had happened there.

If she died, the baby would not be born either, and he would be the only person who could claim part of her estate.

Just thinking about it made his blood run cold.

He tried calling the emergency services, but the phone only displayed one phrase: "No signal".

Darkness fell quickly. The cold seeped through her clothes, her legs trembled with exhaustion, and her stomach suffered increasingly painful spasms.

Suddenly, somewhere among the trees, a dry branch creaked.

Alina jerked her head up. She froze. A huge, dark figure appeared between the tree trunks. Then another footstep. And another.

From the darkness of the forest slowly emerged a huge black wolf.

It was much larger than any wolf she had ever seen in photographs. Its thick fur looked almost black, and its amber eyes never left the woman.

Alina stopped breathing.

She knew she shouldn't move abruptly, but her body began to tremble on its own.

"Don't come any closer... Please..." she barely whispered.

The wolf took another step. Then another. The distance between them was decreasing.

The woman hugged her belly with her arms, as if she could protect the baby with her own body.

Tears began to fall down her face.

But suddenly the animal stopped just a few meters away from her, and then something terrifying happened

She raised her head, looked intently towards somewhere behind her, and suddenly let out a loud, prolonged roar.

Alina had never heard a sound like that.

A few seconds later, a loud cracking of branches came from the thicket. She slowly turned her head. A huge brown bear appeared from the darkness. The predator was walking straight toward her.

Now the woman understood why the wolf wasn't attacking her. He wasn't looking at her.

I was looking at the bear.

The next instant, the wolf lunged forward.

The forest erupted with roars, growls, and the sound of branches snapping. Alina pressed herself to the ground and covered her head with her hands.

She didn't see the fight, she only heard the loud blows, the terrible growls, and felt the ground tremble beneath her.

Everything fell silent as suddenly as it had begun.

Almost a minute passed.

Then, from the darkness, the same wolf slowly emerged.

He had traces of blood in his fur, but he confidently approached the woman and, surprisingly, sat down next to her.

He didn't growl. He didn't bare his teeth. He simply stared at her.

Then he turned his head towards the forest path and took a few steps, as if inviting her to follow him.

Alina took a long time to decide, but she had no other choice.

She got up and walked slowly behind him.

The wolf always went ahead, stopping from time to time to wait for her to catch up.

They continued like this for almost an hour. Suddenly, lights appeared in front of them.

It was a small forestry outpost.

When the woman walked out toward the other people, the wolf stopped at the edge of the woods. A ranger ran to Alina, helped her sit down, and immediately called an ambulance.

When the man turned to point out where the animal was, there was no one left in the clearing.

A few days later, the police arrested the husband.

It turned out that gas station cameras had recorded him studying the route to that uninhabited forest beforehand, and on his phone they found messages with his lover where he had written a single sentence:

"After this trip, all the money will finally be mine."
