Idiot! You almost ruined my dress!

Chapter 1: The Sound of Insult

People often say that the most lavish weddings hide the ugliest souls.

Today was my big day. The majestic ballroom of the five-star hotel was overflowing with thousands of imported white roses. Immense crystal chandeliers cast their light upon the affected faces of the city's elite. I stood near the altar, waiting for my bride-to-be: Valeria.

She appeared in her expensive French lace gown, walking with the haughtiness of an untouchable queen. But just as she reached the center of the aisle… A small incident ruined the picture-perfect scene.

An elderly woman, dressed in a faded gray uniform and an old cap, was holding a bucket full of white roses. She slipped accidentally. She tripped and lightly brushed against the train of Valeria's dress.

WHAM!

A brutal sound tore through the immaculate atmosphere of the ballroom.

The impact was so violent that the old woman fell heavily onto the cold marble floor. The plastic bucket rolled with a thud. Hundreds of white petals were crushed, scattering in all directions.

The soft symphonic music died instantly. Hundreds of guests froze, watching in deathly silence.

Valeria smoothed down her dress, her perfectly made-up face contorted with profound disgust. “YOU BLIND OLD WOMAN! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THIS DRESS COSTS?!” She screamed at the top of her lungs, turning to face the guards. “GET HER OUT OF HERE IMMEDIATELY! DON’T LET THIS TRASH RUIN MY WEDDING!”

My chest tightened as if I’d been hit with an iron sledgehammer. My blood ran cold.

Because the woman trembling on the floor… she wasn’t just some ordinary cleaning lady.

Chapter 2: The Forgotten Mother

I pushed past everyone in my path. I ran desperately down the center of the ballroom.

“GET OUT OF THE WAY!” I roared, shoving the two security guards who were about to grab the woman.

To the utter astonishment of hundreds of guests and Valeria's stunned gaze… I, the groom in the most expensive bespoke suit in the place, fell to my knees amidst the shattered petals. I wrapped my arms around the woman's fragile, trembling body.

“Mom… are you okay? Are you hurt?” My voice cracked into a thousand pieces as tears streamed uncontrollably.

The entire room froze. Valeria's haughty face drained of color. Her makeup couldn't conceal her utter panic. “Mom…? You… are you calling this cleaning lady 'Mom'?!”

I raised my bloodshot eyes and stared at her. The woman I had just humiliated, whom her family considered scum… was my own mother.

She had worked washing thousands of dishes and scrubbing floors for twenty years just to pay for my university studies. She had crept in quietly through the kitchen's service entrance. Because Valeria’s elitist family had secretly removed her from the guest list, forbidding her from entering through the front door for fear of “being embarrassed.”

Chapter 3: The Groom’s Fury

Valeria stumbled backward, her crystal-encrusted heels catching their weight. “I… I didn’t know… Because I was dressed like this… I thought…”

“YOU THOUGHT WHAT?!” I jumped to my feet. My eyes blazed with unrelenting fury. “Did you think hardworking people deserve to be trampled on? Did you think your family’s dirty money gives you the right to destroy other people’s dignity?!”

Valeria’s parents rushed over, desperately trying to defuse the situation. “Son-in-law, please, it’s just a misunderstanding! Don’t make a scene in front of the press!”

“THERE IS NO SON-IN-LAW HERE!” I screamed, my voice making the chandeliers tremble. “A woman who doesn’t respect the person who gave me life will never have the right to be my wife!”

I reached for my lapel, ripped off the floral arrangement, and threw it violently to the floor. “THIS WEDDING IS OFFICIALLY CANCELED!”

Valeria burst into hysterical tears. She fell to her knees, trying to cling to my legs. Her empire of arrogance had completely crumbled before hundreds of cameras recording every second.

But her worst nightmare… was only just beginning.

Chapter 4: The Secret in the Rose Petal

In the midst of absolute chaos, my mother slowly stood up. She was no longer crying. The years of submission and pain vanished from her face.

She bent down and picked up a white rose that Valeria had crushed with her shoe. Her wrinkled hands gently separated the withered petals.

And from inside that shattered flower… A blinding flash illuminated the room.

It was an antique diamond and emerald ring, carved with priceless perfection.

The crowd gasped. Valeria's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets in shock.

“I was the sole heir of a noble family that had fallen from grace,” my mother spoke in a calm voice, yet one filled with crushing authority. “I concealed my identity and worked hard all my life to teach my son the true value of humility.”

She looked directly into Valeria's face, contorted with regret. “This family ring… is worth more than your entire family corporation combined. I planned to hide it in this bucket of roses to surprise my daughter-in-law.”

She offered a faint smile, a cold smile that cut like ice. “But you're right.”

This “trash”… doesn’t deserve to ruin your beautiful wedding.”

Valeria screamed in pure despair, reaching out to grab the ring, but her own family’s guards stopped her to prevent further humiliation.

I took my mother’s arm and we walked toward the exit with our heads held high, leaving behind a heartbroken bride weeping on the floor, and a family whose name had been forever tarnished.

They always think money gives them the right to crush others. But they ignore the fact that karma always chooses the most spectacular moment to snatch absolutely everything away.
